Delete Data

Learn how your data is stored locally and how to delete it whenever you want.

Your Privacy Matters

Your privacy is very important to us. Lazy Calorie Tracker is designed with privacy in mind.

This app offers two types of data storage:

  • Local data (stored only on your device): Your Food Log, Favorite Foods, Goals, and other app usage information that is not synced to the cloud. All of this remains completely on your device unless you choose to enable cloud sync via Google Sign-In.
  • Cloud data (stored securely via Firebase): If you sign in with Google (using OAuth), your Food Log, Favorite Foods, Goals, and related data are stored in the cloud and synced across devices for your convenience.

We do not collect, store, or share any unnecessary personal data on external servers beyond what's required for the signed-in features and premium functionality. Your Google email is used only for authentication and linking your data.

Managing Your Premium Subscription

If you have purchased Premium via in-app purchase (powered by RevenueCat and Google Play Billing), you can manage or cancel your subscription directly in the app. Go to Menu > Premium and tap the Manage Subscription button. This will take you to Google Play's subscription management screen where you can handle billing, upgrades, or cancellations.

Deleting Your Data

  1. Delete local data only (no account required): You can remove all locally stored information at any time within the app. Go to Settings > Delete Data. This will permanently erase all local Food Log, Favorite Foods, Goals, and other app data stored on your device. This does not affect cloud data if you are signed in.
  2. Delete your account and cloud data (for signed-in users): If you have signed in with Google and have data stored in the cloud, you can fully delete your account and associated data.

    Go to Menu > Profile > Delete Account.

    This action will:

    • Permanently delete your user account from our system (via Firebase Authentication).
    • Delete all associated cloud data linked to your account, including your Food Log, Favorite Foods, Goals, and any synced information.
    • This is irreversible. After deletion, your data cannot be recovered. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active Premium subscription, manage that separately via the Premium screen as described above. We do not retain your personal data beyond what's needed for immediate deletion processing (typically completed within technical Firebase processing times, with no long-term retention).

We believe in transparency and privacy by design. Your information, whether local or in the cloud, is under your control.
